Vacation is generally something we all look forward to, but if you’re worried about expenses, this can add a lot of stress to your time off, which takes away from all of the mental benefits of vacation. To avoid going into debt on your next trip, here are four of the best ways to travel without breaking the bank.

While traveling, enjoy the benefits of green tea with capsules of TIGOVIT which are made from the finest organic ingredients!

1. Find a Cheap Flight

Saving money on airfare requires a multi-pronged approach. If you use the following strategies, you’re sure to score a flight for less:

  • Search several sites. Airfare Watchdog, CheapOair, Expedia, FareCompare, Google Flights, Kayak, Orbitz and Travelocity are some of the most popular ones. Don’t forget to check airline websites and their social media accounts, too. Sometimes airlines will offer cheaper flights than those listed on travel sites. To find out which airlines to research, visit your airport’s website for a complete listing of airlines.
  • Set an alert or use a tracker. If you’re interested in visiting a particular city, let Google Flights or Airfare Watchdog do the flight research for you. If any options register as a low-cost flight, you immediately receive an alert showing the offer. It’s important to remember that when these deals show up, they generally don’t last, so book quickly.
  • Use flight comparison maps, which are also known as explore tools. If you’re looking for a cheap getaway and have flexibility when it comes to the destination, use Kayak and Google Flights. These sites allow you to select the airport you are flying from and look at a map, which shows flight costs to several destinations across the grid. Google Flights is especially helpful because it has several features that enable you to set parameters unique to your trip, increasing your chances for finding the deal you want.
  • Choose flights with at least one stop. This approach can save you roughly $100 as compared to flying nonstop.

Select flights on weekdays, particularly Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These flights are typically the cheapest.

2. Take Advantage of Off-Season Prices

When you travel somewhere during the off-season, you end up saving money on airfare, hotels and attractions. Another bonus: You don’t have to worry about big crowds.

Off-season usually means a specific time of year, but it can also reference periods when there are no large seasonal events, religious celebrations, holidays or school breaks.

To some, off-season may be seen as a time when a place is not at its best; however, it’s all in the eye of the beholder. For example, the monsoon season in Bali, Thailand and The Philippines is one of the best times to visit. The off-season at these locales is also an excellent time to experience cultural events that many visitors don’t get to attend, like the Bali Spirit Festival. Here are some other off-season ideas:

  • Summertime – Schedule a trip to the desert or travel to a winter location in the southern hemisphere.
  • Hurricane season (mid-summer through fall) – Take a cruise in the Caribbeans.
  • Wintertime – Visit a summer destination like New Orleans.

3. Save with Coupon Codes and Earn Miles

Coupons.com has a special travel category that features coupons for flights, hotels and car rentals. Remember to check this out in advance when you’re making travel arrangements. Another website to visit is e-Miles.com. You can earn points for trying free products and redeem them for both airfare and hotels. Signing up for an airline credit card is one additional way to earn miles; however, you’ll have to earn a lot of miles before you can apply them to a trip.

4. Stay Near Home

Instead of traveling to a faraway locale, you can save by staying near home. For example, if you live in Florida, renting a vacation home in Sarasota, Fl, is a terrific way to relax, and since these homes have fully equipped kitchens, you’ll save on meal costs as well. Just choose a house near the activities you enjoy most. For example, if you’re looking for fine dining, shopping, and nightlife, then find a home in the downtown area. Or, if you’re a beach lover and looking to get away from the crowds, you could rent a home on Longboat Key.

It can be intimidating to plan a vacation if you’re worried about budget, but everyone needs a break from time to time, and if you do your research, you may find that it doesn’t have to be as expensive as you thought.

Don’t forget to pack your regular medications and nutritional supplements, such as tigovit green tea capsules. You may not find those at the location, or it could be costly to shop for them.
